Miss Yorkshire 'Beauty for Health' Youth Campaign Project 2014 Beauty for Health Campaign: fighting Obesity among the Youth of Yorkshire & Humber It's a Health & Wellbeing Advocacy Campaign to tackle OBESITY through awareness and advocacy among the Youth of Yorkshire and Humber Region. Recent reports and data publications reveal how the Obesity crisis affects different parts of England.

The region of Yorkshire and Humber happens to be among the top spot this health problem with Doncaster leading. In response, the organisers of the Miss Yorkshire Beauty Pageant would like to undertake the following measures using its platform www.missyorkshire.com in combating this social health canker.

It is also estimated that 'More than half of the UK population heading for obesity by 2050, with an annual cost to society approaching £50Billion' http://www.noaw2014.org.uk/ Believing that Education, Awareness and Advocacy are key to reversing the trend of Obesity, the founder of Miss Yorkshire Mr. Anthony Twumasi Ameyaw, who is a showbiz entrepreneur and also an ex-soldier of the British Army have decided to walk across 12 Major towns in Yorkshire and Humber Region to garner support.
